The short version: this site doesn't collect anything

What this site is

cosmoconifer.com is a set of static pages. There are no accounts, no logins, no payments, no comments and no forms. Nothing you do here is recorded by me.

What it does not do

• It sets no cookies of any kind, including functional ones.
• It writes nothing to local storage or session storage.
• There is no analytics package, no tracking pixel and no fingerprinting.
• There is no advertising, and no data about you is sold or shared, because none is gathered to sell.
• Nothing on these pages is loaded from a third party. The typeface, the images and the stylesheet are all served from this domain.

You can check all of that. Open your browser's developer tools, look at the network tab and the storage tab, and reload any page on this site.

What happens anyway, because of hosting

This site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web server, GitHub's receives a request for each page you view, and that request includes your IP address, the page you asked for, and your browser's user agent. GitHub uses that for delivering the site and for security and abuse prevention. I never see it: GitHub Pages gives me no access logs, no visitor counts and no dashboard. What GitHub does with it is covered by the GitHub Privacy Statement.

The domain's DNS is managed by Cloudflare. Cloudflare answers the lookup that turns cosmoconifer.com into an address; it does not sit in front of the site, so your page requests do not pass through it.

If you email me

The address on this site is hello@cosmoconifer.com. Mail sent there is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing into a personal mailbox that I read. That means your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you write end up in that mailbox.

I use it to reply to you and nothing else. There is no mailing list, you will not be added to one, and I will not pass your address to anyone. Correspondence stays in the mailbox unless you ask me to delete it, and if you ask, I will.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you, or to object to its processing. In practice the only personal data I hold is email you have chosen to send me. Write to hello@cosmoconifer.com and I will confirm what I have and delete it on request.

Children

This site is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone, so it collects nothing from children either.

Changes

If this site ever gains analytics, a form, an embedded video or anything else that changes the answers above, this page gets updated first and the date at the top changes with it.

Who publishes this

CosmoConifer is a sole proprietorship operated by Anthony Ellis in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.

Ownership

The text, artwork, logos, screenshots and page code on this site are mine, along with the name Solvane: The Iron Reach and the artwork belonging to it. All rights reserved except where this page says otherwise.

Press and creator permission

This is the exception, and it is deliberately broad. Everything on the press kit page, including the descriptions, the screenshots, the store artwork and the studio logos, may be used in coverage of the game without asking me first. That covers articles, reviews, videos and streams, including monetised ones.

Two requests rather than conditions:

• Please don't recolour, stretch or redraw the logos.
• Please don't present coverage in a way that implies I sponsored or endorsed it.

Anything outside the press kit, and any use that is not coverage, needs a quick email first. I am unlikely to say no.

No warranty

This site is provided as it is. Solvane: The Iron Reach is in development, which means the features, artwork and plans described here will change, and nothing on this site is a promise about what the finished game will contain or when it will arrive. There are no release dates here on purpose.

Nothing is sold on this site. If you buy the game somewhere else, that sale is between you and that storefront under their terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, United States.
