One line
Solvane: The Iron Reach is a top-down space game about mining an infinite procedural galaxy, building a factory base out of what you pull from it, and keeping that base alive when something comes for it.
Short — about 60 words
Solvane: The Iron Reach drops you into an infinite, procedurally generated galaxy with a ship and nothing else. Scan asteroids, break the ones worth breaking, and haul the ore back to a base you lay out yourself: power, conduits, processing, drones and turrets. Weapons are manufactured rather than bought. Factorio and tower defense, in space, in pixel art.
Long — about 150 words
Solvane: The Iron Reach is a top-down space game built in GameMaker by a single developer over nine years. The galaxy is infinite and generated as you fly through it, with planets and moons moving on drawn orbital paths.
You start with a ship. Asteroids report their yield before you commit to mining them, and what you extract goes back to a base you design: solar arrays to make power, conduits to move it, processing to turn raw ore into components. Drones are constructed to repair the base and defend it, and turrets cover the approaches, because the galaxy eventually notices you.
Weapons and ship parts are manufactured rather than purchased, so a loadout is a decision about what you built rather than a menu you shopped from. The result sits between a factory game and a tower defense game, with a space sim wrapped around both.
